One of the things I totally enjoy about my current employment status is that I am able to watch the sunrise! Those of you that do not live in the frozen tundra of ND may not realize it, but in ND winter days are very, very short. When I was working both jobs, I rarely saw the sunrise. I was at work before the sun came up, and sometimes arrived home after the sunset. Yuck!
Though we do not have a sunset view in our home, we have a great view of the winter sunrise. It is very common for me to pause midtask, grab Mataya, and run to the widow to watch the sun come up. I always tell her that God is the most amazing artist.
Today I was busily cooking in the kitchen when Mataya ran to me.
She grabbed my hand, pointed to the window, and yelled "Gorus!!!! Gooooorrrrrruuuusss!"
I glanced up to see the most glorious of sunrises.
(Insert my heart melting.)
We raced across the house hand-in-hand so we could soak in the sunrise together.
What an amazing way to start the day.
It caused my heart to sing this song of praise all day.
