Doggy Diet

Over the weekend, Sierra decided that Riley was becoming a little chubby.   So, she did some research and found the perfect doggy diet.  She read that by adding water to Riley's dry dog food, he would feel more full on less food.

We were instructed that only Sierra should feed Riley.  She had a plan.  Operation "Doggy diet" was to begin the very next day!

The first morning of her plan she worked hard to mix up Riley's kibble perfectly... not too wet, not too dry -not too much, not too little.

She was thrilled when Riley gobbled down the whole bowl! She was sure that the by wetting his food he would not even notice the smaller portion.

A few hours Jamison woke up.  He made himself a couple of pancakes.  He went to the bathroom before he sat down to eat his pancakes, leaving the plate on the kitchen counter.

He returned to find an empty plate?!

He came downstairs shocked!  Riley is not supposed to be in the kitchen, and he NEVER sneaks food off the counter.  Jamison asked if we had forgotten to feed him, or what?

At that point I got the giggles.  Poor Riley was so hungry from his doggy diet that he stole food from the counter.  Plain pancakes, non the less, not even something really yummy to a dog!

In fact, I could so identify with his diet dilemma that I did not even have the heart to scold him!

I guess doggy diets are not any more fun than the human kind!
