Down on Grandpa Great's Farm

While Daddy worked hard to get the house ready to sell, the kids and I went on a quick trip to visit my Grandparent's.  Joshua had never visited the farm in the summer, and as expected, he had a wonderful time!

Look at that balance!
Brenna had a blast finding frogs, frogs, and more frogs!
Jamison found Joshua some of their Great Uncle's childhood toys to play with.  Trucks are fun no matter how old!
Grandpa Great grilled us supper!
Brenna liked it!
(notice how Brenna turns ketchup into a food group?)

LOL
My kids love all the simple OLD treasures at the farm.
Here Sierra and cousin Cailtin are riding on Grandma Donna's childhood bike!

Amazing the stuff my kids can discover in Grandpa Great's shop!  I did not know about ANY of this cool stuff when I was a kid!

One of the kids' favorite things about the farm is the "tickle tree."  It is a HUGE weeping willow tree that they have named the tickle tree because the long branches tickle you when you run under the tree.  They wait all year to play under and in the tickle tree.

JOshua begged and begged to climb up like the big kids, so Jamison helped him up.  He smiled proudly for the picture and then screamed to get down.  He did not ask to climb again!  Some things are not as fun as they look.
Some things ARE as much fun as they look!
After church on Sunday the kids and I went into town to see my Grandma's memorial garden.  It sure looks pretty!  She would be both humbled and proud if she saw it.
