Brenna's Birthday, Part 2

Brenna is "Student of the Week" in her classroom this week. As a part of this honor, she has some photos and information about herself on display in the room.

She was also able to invite her family to join her at school today for her choice of an activity.
My crafty girl chose to have mom, Sierra, and Joshua come to make a project. We made plastic Easter eggs into bunnies.
We had a bit of time left over after the bunnies were finished, she then chose to play "telephone."
After our time in the classroom, I kidnapper her and Sierra for lunch at "Famous Dave's." Daddy joined us there.

She chose her favorite family meal for supper:

Chicken, Broccoli, and Rice::
1 chicken breast
Frozen broccoli
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can water
1 can milk
1.5 soup cans minute rice
cheese to taste
salt, pepper, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper to taste

Cube the chicken. Saute in a skillet along with a bit of oil, the frozen broccoli and spices. Add liquids and rice. Simmer until rice is tender. Stir in cheese. (This recipe does need to be tripled for the whole family, but most of her siblings opted for leftover pizza. Not all my kids love broccoli!)

Not sure why this super simple recipe is her favorite, but it is!

We rushed out the door and to church.
After church we stopped for a quick treat on the way home!

It was a wild, crazy, fast, and furious day! I hope that you sensed how totally loved you are in the midst of all the busy Miss Brenna Joy. When we named you "Joy" we chose perfectly. You brought joy in the midst of sadness at the moment of your birth and you continue to be a source of pure JOY to all who know you best. I am SO thankful that God chose me to be your Mom!

Brenna's birthday, part 3 (aka the final chapter) will take place on Saturday when she parties with her friends.
