Big Accomplishments

It has been a crazy last 6 days.  Crazier than you might ever know!  However, I am back with an update at long last!

The highlight of last week for Joshua was getting a belt!  He had been begging for a belt "just likey Drew."  I agreed to buy him a belt as soon as he chose to dress himself.  He was more than capable of dressing himself - he just preferred for mommy to do it.

Last week he decided to be a big boy, so now he is proudly showing EVERYONE his new belt!  It is really fun to see him so proud and excited.

One of the highlights of the last week for me was the children's Christmas program at our church!

Joshua, Brenna, and Sierra all participated.  It was hard for Joshua!  He really wanted to sing on stage, but new is HARD!  When we arrived at dress rehearsal he climbed on my hip and popped his thumb into his mouth!  He was NOT going to sing!  I told him that was fine with me!

We watched bout 45 minutes of practice, and he slowly relaxed.  Finally he told me, "I'm going to go sing now."  He climbed up on stage, stood between his buddies Drew and Tefsa, and practiced proudly.

At that point, I was pretty sure he would be a part of the live show.  However, one never knows until show time!

Joshua and Brenna were both very excited to be wearing their fancy clothes!  It was the first time Joshua had chosen anything to wear other than jeans.

He was so proud!

Look how proud he is walking on stage!

I was so happy for him!
Yes!  He is posing for me to take his picture!
 Brenna is too!

(They know how I love to snap photos!)
I like this one because you can see both kids on stage.

I was SO, SO proud of them.
Christmas programs are boring when you are little.
Sitting on stage quietly is hard work!

They did an excellent job!
Sierra was Mary.

Isn't she beautiful?

My heart was full, and my eyes were brimming with tears as I watched my kids yesterday.  I am so proud of them, and so very grateful that God chose me to be their mom.

The other BIG accomplishment in Joshua's weekend was going to Grammy's house yesterday to bake cookies.  He got to ride in Grammy's car!  He LOVED that!  He (and his siblings) spent the afternoon baking cookies with Grammy.  Last year Joshua was too little to be a part of this tradition, and he was THRILLED to be "bigger enough" to help this year!
